Tim Drinkard
Church Planter-
Acting Pastor

My name is Tim Drinkard, and I’m originally from Oskaloosa, Kansas. I was ordained in the Baptist faith in 2014 and began serving as a missionary in the country of Panama in 2017. During my five and a half years there, I worked across the country in seven of its ten provinces. In 2019, I began focusing on the Emberá people near the Darién Jungle. There, in February 2022, I helped establish the first independent, self-sustaining, autonomous Baptist church in their indigenous history.
While simultaneously planting the church, I also led two large-scale refugee camp ministries—sharing the gospel with many people from around the world traveling through the Darién Jungle, including former members of ISIS. I was able to distribute the gospel message in over fifteen languages. By God’s grace, I saw many souls came to Christ during this time.
With the work in Panama continuing independently under the leadership of a native pastor, I’ve returned to the U.S. to plant a new church near the Northeast/Southeast area of the Portland metro area. This area faces real challenges but also holds great potential. I’m excited to see what God will do, and I hope you will prayerfully, and seriously consider being part of this new beginning.
